I learned to tell time using this one and the big dipper the week before last. This week I practiced and it still worked!
I
had that one pasted and was working on this one:

to
access it.\ @ Isn't it cool bps how the gospel is stranger and more
miraculous than even the most fantastic fairy tales! Imagine a being
who created our earth. It is 8 light minutes from our sun. Imagine a
being who would carry around with him, on him the wounds of his
death. Can you imagine working with hands that are pierced? He tells
us he won't ever forget us because just like the wounds in his hands
we are always important and present with him. “15Can
a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion
on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget
thee. 16Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy
walls are continually before me. BoM:14 But, behold, Zion hath said:
The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me—but he
will show that he hath not.15 For can a woman forget her sucking
child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee, O house of
Israel.16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy
walls are continually before meme Can
What
must it feel like to have hands and feet like that? Do you have any
scars? Do you have any on your hands? I have one from drilling
through a pine wood derby car and into my left palm. I never forget
how I got that scar. I have one on my right thumb from when I had
chicken pox as a little kid. I never forget how I got that scar. You
have some too don't you! Who needs tattoos? We have natural tattoos
with real meanings, not imagined ones! The Savior does too! Why does
he carry those scars? They are proof! He is responsible for saving
the Jews. They are very faithful. Hundreds and thousands of years
later they are still keeping the law and rituals of Moses. Do you
know of any other people in the world who keep their commitments and
rituals, feasts and holy days year after year, century after century?
There will need to be definite proof if They are to be convinced.
Saturday
6:29pm,
bps, I got nailed / embarrassed so badly!! I was at FS and decided to
include some pictures of Brooklyn Decker:
[I had to remove it because blogger.com can only post so much picture at a time. Type doesn't take much memory but pictures do.]
When
a missionary came up behind me picking up a copy from the printer, I
quickly closed this page but the one behind it, above wasn't any
better. When he left, I continued. Our new director is named Elder
Merril. Low and behold Elder Merril quickly comes walking down the
back row and catches me. “That should not be what you are doing
here.” v- This might look like pornography. M- “That should not
be what you are doing here.” v- This might look like pornography to
me and you but to the prison it isn't. M- “That should not be what
you are doing here. You can do that at home, but not here.” v- OK.
Brandon,
I could die! Shortly after that DavidM, Mr. Lust shows up for the
first time this year! I was happy to see him. He sat beside me and
asked how I was. V-Medium. How are you? D- Medium too. Why are you
medium? V-”Do you have 5 minutes where we can go and talk?” We
went to the patron breakroom and initiated it. I told him the story.
We visited for 20 minutes and went back in to work. I couldn't stand
it though. I closed everything down and told him I was leaving. I
took the 6 pages of double-sided letter I had printed to you and
headed towards the director's office. I desperately wanted to make
ammends. This weird, red beanied patron, hiding on the back row went
to find Elder Merril. What could I say or show to change his opinion?
Is my reputation blown? I poked my head in his office. His wife had
her back to me. He was standing and I said, “Thanks for having the
courage.” and then I left the building through the east missionary
doors next to the lockers. @ How many times do you think I have
prayed and groaned since then? I have been in emotional agony. I told
DavidM about the letter with the 48 crayon circles being returned and
me just knowing inside it would be because of the pornography I had
sent you. I had been caught with my pants down! Argh! @ So here I am
at home. I did safely paste those pictures of BrooklynD. I can send
you 9 pages with two stamps. Since I had 6 printed I was planning on
doing 3 more of pictures. I hope you don't mind but I just don't feel
good about it. @ I risk take all the time. But I don't have a printer
at home. And I hesitate to print those off at FS. The equipment there
is supposed to be used for family history. Like DaveM said: When you
work for hours n hours on researching or indexing then the computers
can provide a little comic relief. A little distraction. But that is
really not what they are their for. @ It took me about an hour to
figure out how to print double sided on the new FS printers. I felt
wonderfully successful when I finally got it. There were 5 different
screens I looked through for the command. One screen had 4 tabs on
it. The other screen had two tabs but I hadn't seen the first one. It
had skipped it. I opened and closed all those tabs multiple times,
pressing buttons and trying things but they came out single sided. So
today I experienced both opposites. Wonderful for succeeding all
along the way with indexing and finally with printing. Awful for the
worldly pictures I was pasting. Sunday 7/9/17,
3:08pm. Hello Brandon! I got a response from Andrea Davenport. I got
a response from Andrea Davenport!! Be watching for it. @ As you know
I email my home teachees every week because they do not want visits.
I also wrote our 5 missionaries a brief letter today. Here is what I

ago)to Elder, jeron, thatcherB, brockJ, walker.spencer \Dear Elder
Seth, Jeron, Thatcher, Brock, Spencer,Hope you are doing well. May
God support and guide you. Here are 10 things to share with you:
1-
Kim Garrett testimonied last week and spoke in church again today!
Sister Wiggins got food poisoning last night. Bishop Q. Adams got to
speak to help fill-in too! [Dave Black, a college proffessor, ended his talk and the bishop had to fill in last month. Notice that Kim Garrett did all he could and then had the bishop help fill in. I feel much kinder about KimG than DaveB but I only see my half of the world.]
2-
Last year ended fireworks in the Sunbowl. They were held at Hansen
stadium on the 4th again this year. They changed the name: Legend
Solar Stadium. What do you think of that?
3-
Frank Haney asked me what's up? I responded, the temperature!
4-
This next part was cute and funny. KimG told how he thought his
extended stay as a ward librarian was wasted. But now he has found
that trying to fill the calling is hard! He was valuable after-all.
Bishop said he was glad he followed the prompting to choose KimG out
of the library as a counselor. I think it is cool as well. Tall shy
Kim and now he is entertaining us from the pulpit. He made 5 or 6
wisecracks today. He is getting so comfortable.
5-
Serve. He served as a baptism witness for his first 2 twin
granddaughters getting baptized yesterday. KimG
6-
Derek Wiggins is an architect. He did his post graduate work in
Tallahassee Florida. They have only lived in the ward a short time.
This was to be their welcoming talk, but wife was food poisoned. He
used to play guitar hero down the basement of Dan Moss' house! He
knew Colby Tolman and Tim Hilton, past members of our ward.
7-
His son Daniel Wiggins was born with brittle bone disease. He died
young here in our ward. Derek couldn't hardly talk as he told how the
ward served him and his family through the death.8- DerekW showed us
that the bishop was well prepared for his feelings. He pulled 7 boxes
of tissues out from under the podium and showed the audience! :)
9-
Scofield Reservoir is where Jack Taylor is taking the scouts for
summer camp tomorrow morning. I have never been there. The bishop
thought we were rowdy in priesthood.
10-
Diana Larsen's funeral was held yesterday. Kelly Owens works around
funerals for spearheading our Saturday chapel cleaning effort. You
won't believe this: He calls everyone on Friday to remind them. He
had 22 people show up yesterday!
11-
We have been cooking in St. George. Hot. Speaking of cooking. We have
5 breakfast casseroles needed for the stake 24th celebration. I
volunteered. 4 years ago when I volunteered for the first time I
asked where is the recipe? They said there wasn't one. I asked, what
is a breakfast casserole? Potatoes and eggs they said. I decided to
hard boil dozens of eggs. I buy them on sale. They might not be very
unique but there are never any left over! Little mess for me! And I
have been surprised, there is actually some skill involved in hard
boiling or soft boiling an egg! I pity the people who ate my boiled
eggs the first year!
12-
KimG asked me to slow the songs way down today. v- Are we missing a
speaker? k-Yep, I was up all night worried about it.v- I am always
available Kim. I would be happy to speak on any topic.k- Really? Well
that makes two. I will keep that in mind. After sacrament meeting I
found Kim and Andra seated in SS. I leaned over and whispered: v- You
know that offer to speak on short notice in Sacrament meeting? I
withdraw that offer. There is no way I could have compared with the
beautiful talks we had today! K- Thanks. But you need to know that
there is no withdrawals of offers. :)

letter to our ward's missionaries? I am including it.Hello Bruce,

DerekW.\So sweet. Don't you love shedding tears in the joy of the
gospel and in the spirit. Check out the last verse of our sacrament
hymn. I could hardly sing as we did the last lines:Jesus, once of
humble birth,Now in glory comes to earth.Once he suffered grief and
pain; Now he comes on earth to reign. Now he comes on earth to
reign.Once a meek and lowly Lamb,Now the Lord, the great I Am.Once
upon the cross he bowed; Now his chariot is the cloud. Now his chariot
is the cloud.Once he groaned in blood and tears; Now in glory he
appears.Once rejected by his own,Now their King he shall be known. Now
their King he shall be known.Once forsaken, left alone,Now exalted to
a throne.Once all things he meekly bore,But he now will bear no
more. But he now will bear no more.Text: Parley P. Pratt, 1807–1857\As
I listened to the bishop's voice today I heard solidity and
assurance. What a good man. Thank you for serving for us bishop! He
shared a story after he had described the Anti Nephi Lehis that
really touched me when it was pointed out to me earlier this week. It
comes from JRH:Elder Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
spoke on June 27, the fourth day of the 2017 Seminar for New Mission
Presidents being held at the Provo Utah Missionary Training Center._.
. ._\May HF be mindfull of you this week, B, A, V, E ! :)
bps,
did you notice that was not addressed to AndreaD? I don't have her
email address so she gets her own personal message. I hope it helps
her feel important. Here is the library of emails Andrea has received
from me this last month: June 18 2:18 PM. Home teachees,
Vabe,. When do you feel worthy? My daughter dropped off a Father's
Day card. Saints wished me happy Father's Day at church. I can't
quite take it in. I have a praying recliner my house. Some people
pray on their knees. I pray reclined. As I prayed about Sandra's card
including two grandkids contributions, and wondered why I didn't even
want to go get it off the fridge after reading her text notifying me
where it was, I realized perhaps I don't feel worthy. I didn't want
to listen to my conference CD on my way home from Otter Creek
yesterday either. Driving up I listened and felt touched. Why the
difference? I got nailed with five fish over my limit. Game Warden
ticketed me. Do I want to worship? No way! Do I feel worthy? No way.
Give me a few days. V June 25 12:41 PM. Frank Haney, my
neighbor, invited me over for tacos at 4. Would you like to go? I
have a turkey we could take. Dear home teachees, that might have
sounded joking but I am serious! It is true. June 25. My brother
turns 60 tomorrow. I e-mailed him two letters this week. No response.
He doesn't communicate. Fresno California. \I applied for Social
Security this week. I was scared so I did it when I was already
anxious. I took advantage of my anxiety from needing to drive to
girls camp on Wednesday morning and applied for Social Security.
Bishop asked me how was girls camp today. V – boring. B – why? V
– they all went swimming. Do you think I was going to go with them?
B – nope, I wouldn't feel comfortable with that. V – me neither!
\Roland Leishman taught for his first time today. From Cache Valley.
They Served 18 months at the Brigham Young home/visitor center etc.
on their mission. His wife liked our winters and didn't want to go
back. He has served as Bishop and branch president up in Logan but he
doesn't act like it. A real wild hair! He says prayers in church
should be no longer than 60 seconds! Abby and Brady Golding spoke on
Sabbath day today. She had baby number four last month been in the
Ward 8 and a half years. They live by Hal Demke on Fort Pierce. He
works 3-12 hour days at the hospital each week as a physicians
assistant. Are you jealous? Salaried and 36 hour weeks!
Vice is a monster of so frightful a mien
as to be hated needs but to be seen;
yet seen to oft, familiar with her face,
first we endure, then pity, then embrace.
Alexander Pope.
Sunday school teacher Jesse Bird was asked to recite that three times. July 2 1:43 PM. July 2! Andrea, I sent Varlo the births and death in the Ward etc.. I don't have your e-mail. V July 9 2:33 PM. Hello Andrea, God bless you. I hope you are strong and pulling your load safely. I sent out a double e-mail today. Ask Varlo to see it. \Kim Garrett mentioned how he hated living in Provo and having to go to the welfare farm in Payson with his dad as a kid. (Service theme). His dad would always be the first to arrive and the last to leave and he was extremely thorough. His mother was not, NOT a good example of service so he left her out! :-) I went to some welfare farm assignments in Payson as well when I was a BYU student. Once they even sponsored the service day where my group was assigned to go paint the inside of a little old lady's house. I painted my way through college traveling to Salt Lake City on Saturdays and Summers. \Daniel Wiggins was born in our Ward and died of brittle bone disease. The Wiggins loved the care and service and support they receive from our Ward. That was a different angle for a talk on service. Vern July 9 2:37 PM. Vern, is pulling my load a fat joke? Ha ha July 9 2:48 PM. Andrea you cutie! Nice touch! Touché. Vern @@ Did you see it bps? There it went. Don't miss it! Those don't come by very often!
