Wednesday,8/2,
I
have been shopping all morning. 12:08 Yep, for you! And working on
your next letter. I love deals/ bargains. If I spent $30+ I got free
shipping. So now you have 5 things ordered that will be coming in the
mail. Why did I do it today? 1- I got stuck at the computer. 2- I
ordered a $20 gift card for bab who turns 7yo
tomorrow, 8/3. 3- I was pasting together some pictures for you and
found my 20 -calendar -options I sent Dave Hughes, which he never
responded to no matter the number of reminders, and was captured. I
went to the same web address and instead of waiting for him to decide
I am sending them. @ I am so excited for you. Your last letter was
open enough for me to understand your needs/ wishes/ desires and the
reasons behind them. So I decided to go for it. See you are cared
for! @ So lets talk about the order in order. The order in order:
1-2017 swimsuit SI. Why not? Plus good deal. Besides SI was your
suggestion. And, and, AND a picture for every day of the year! If
there were only one I could send this would have been my first
choice. Can you imagine? 2- Expensive but I got 25% off and this one
you will anticipate. It is a p r e order. I just hope, hope they
don't forget to send it to you! If it were being sent to me I am
confident it would arrive. And if it didn't I would whine. So I guess
I ought to have confidence it will arrive to you as well. This
company looks really good. 3- Beaches are uplifting. Beaches are anti
depression! 4- How about a little variety! Lets get some machinery in
those pictures. 5- Zoo in a Box- desk calendar *I hope they will let
you have this one and that you will have room in your cell for it.
(same concern on #1 SI desk) I love animals and I love humor. This
one is for me!! @ So of the 5 there are two you might not get. Those
desk calendars concern me. But if you don't get them at least I can
say adventure bill was risk taking again!vj @@
BoM stuff: Do you remember Mosiah taking his people up to the north
and finding the city of Zarahemla with Mulekites? Isn't that a
fascinating idea! So amazing. Well in your new book by JLSorenson he
is convinced that the elite had to learn the language of the people
they governed. That was a totally new idea to me! I listened to JLS
for an hour last night on Youtube. I like him. Careful, white-haired
and now dead. (93yo) Hugh Nibley would not dare face a camara without
a lecture or talk prepared. JLS seemed the same way. He had tons of
material prepared to share and he embarked on it. Such a reasonable
man. @ I was discouraged in his book when he said the Charles Anthon
manuscript had not been authenticated. But in his lecture he said it
had extremely modified /created Egyptglyphs. What? He had looked at
it more carefully and analyzed it? Only the elite had time to learn
languages and the language of Nephi's plates was condensed! He was
convinced that Mormon and Moroni wrote in Nephi's same 1,000 year old
language and that they had had to learn it. I was surprised when he
quoted the bom saying there were some things they didn't know how to
write but they could speak them just fine? What? They were limited in
what they could write, because if they didn't know the motif/ design/
figure they couldn't say it. Strange huh! @ I reordered my copy of An
American Setting for the BoM this morning. Amazon.com canceled my
first order. Out of stock they said. So I ordered a new one. I can't
wait to read it again and write all over it. I sure hope you write
all over yours. Remember those fly leafs/ leaves
are available for words. [fly·leaf\ˈflīˌlēf/noun\a
blank page at the beginning or end of a book.]
@
Boobytrapped: A cute woman at class 2 weeks ago suggested Carlfred
Broderick's book: The Uses of Adversity. I found one for $1.62 plus
$4 shipping, Amazon.com. It came. It is a single talk in book form!
Crud was I disappointed. The flyleaf is brown so my writing doesn't
show as well but write in it I did![Yoda
style sentence.] @ I
couldn't help but ask your mother how you get mp3's to listen to. So
I used up my 3rd
wish. I also sent her the above portion of the letter. If anyone can
understand it is KJ! So this next song brings tears to my eyes. Sara
does an awesome job: She Used to Be Mine\Sara Bareilles\It's not
simple to say
That
most days I don't recognize me
That
these shoes and this apron
That
place and its patrons
Have
taken more than I gave them
It's
not easy to know
I'm
not anything like I used be, although it's true
I
was never attention's sweet center
I
still remember that girl
She's
imperfect, but she tries
She
is good, but she lies
She
is hard on herself
She
is broken and won't ask for help
She
is messy, but she's kind
She
is lonely most of the time
She
is all of this mixed up and baked in a beautiful pie
She
is gone, but she used to be mine
It's
not what I asked for
Sometimes
life just slips in through a back door
And
carves out a person and makes you believe it's all true
And
now I've got you
And
you're not what I asked for
If
I'm honest, I know I would give it all back
For
a chance to start over and rewrite an ending or two
For
the girl that I knew
Who'll
be reckless, just enough
Who'll
get hurt, but who learns how to toughen up
When
she's bruised and gets used by a man who can't love
And
then she'll get stuck
And
be scared of the life that's inside her
Growing
stronger each day 'til it finally reminds her
To
fight just a little, to bring back the fire in her eyes
That's
been gone, but used to be mine
Used
to be mine
She
is messy, but she's kind
She
is lonely most of the time
She
is all of this mixed up and baked in a beautiful pie
She
is gone, but she used to be mine
~~~~~
Crud, I can't believe I dared to post that! Reckless- Who'll be reckless, just enough
