Saturday, May 4 hello Brandon! There are all kinds of podcasts nowadays! It is so strange! You don’t have to tune in at a regular time or radio station. . . just listen or watch whenever you want. @ Joan Runsthrough and David Bates notice a literary form called Chiasmus. John W. Welch and Lynne Hilton Wilson
are doing a CFM podcast together this year. He is a law professor at BYU and he discovered Chiasmus in the BoM when he was a missionary in Germany many years ago. I was amazed that he is still around and contributing to Mormon culture and society and intelligence! He is very calm and collected compared to Lynne. Such different personalities and we are all acceptable to god. @ There is a movie/video/youtube about him discovering chiasmus. I watched it. I don’t trust hardly anything but our 15 apostles so it was unusual for me to take the time to watch it. I usually watch for entertainment or curiosity. In the background of the movie I thought I saw one of my memorized scriptures. And sure enough. . . it is part of a chiasmus. This excited me. My scripture! The middle letters represent the climax of the poem/parallelism. It is in King Benjamin’s address: mos 3:18 For behold he judgeth, and his judgment is just; and the infant perisheth not that dieth in his infancy; but men drink damnation to their own souls

Friday, 4/26/24 10:11am Whine time. Hello Brandon, BW came 45 minutes early to her scanner appointment so she could visit with me. She says she has been on fire spiritually lately. Some of it is stimulated by our sharing. Today she told me a story of her mother being extremely gregarious and talkative to everyone around her. Her husband Doug told her after a mother visit that BW could talk all she wanted because after listening to her mother ramble on and on he realized that Barb didn’t/couldnt hold a candle to her!!! Oh my crud! So Brandon, I have been sitting here for over an hour and I only have 9 birth records done. I would usually have 50! What a pain! But I am supposed to be a missionary during my shift. I am going to count it as missionarying time. ha! tyhf. Saturday, May 4 again. 2024 BH2 YM CHALLENGE

This is day 4 of our yearly indexing challenge! What did you think of the rules? Our new counselor, Brett Lee, is dynamite! He has so much enthusiasm. And instead of putting him over missionary they put him over T&FH! Yay! @ I was struck/startled/amazed/floored by the idea of adding temple sessions to the competition. But I absolutely love it! BRILLIANT! @@ So this is fast Sunday and I started my fast. @ Kathy went back to Saratoga Springs after helping at Robert & Amber’s for 2 months. The baby blessing was 2 weeks ago. @ They needed to go to a wedding reception last night, Friday night and so I went to babysit. It has been 2 months! And they put two kids down to bed before they left and took little Gideon with them. It was an easy babysitting job! @ I visited with them and felt so refreshed/reconnected. I am smiling as I write this. @ I haven’t ever seen Robert at work/earning a living from Zonos. Last night he wanted to show me/tell me what stage his project is at. Their published work is 1k pages long. 4 pages were still not working with the changes he has made. He was exhausted and told Amber he did not want to be forced to converse with anyone at the wedding reception. Plus, he expects to have a brain freeze when he is fasting so he was anticipating today. @ Everyone was curious about the jobs Bonnie has tried to get and the one she is doing now.
Because of my insinuating myself into their lives by reading with Lincoln’11, I get some of my questions answered by just being around. Bonnie is a sales rep. People on the phone make appointments for her and she goes and tries to get people to replace their windows. Yuck! Not my kind of work! tyhf that I was able to teach science. Even if it was to Jr High school students. ha. @ she often drives out of town to make the visits and about half of the appointments that have been made tell her they cancelled the day before! And the company doesn't pass that along to her. Louis thinks that the phone sales people don’t want to pass it along because they get paid by the appointments they make. At least that is how it was when Louis was in sales at Worldmark. He called because she had a couple of appointments in my ward boundaries. One west of Paxmans and one with Lane Wood. “If she can just make one sale this week it will help make it all worth it” said Louis. My heart goes out to Bonnie. She was one of the best phone contact callers Worldmark ever had. But they treated her unfairly. So long! Louis told them so long as well! That is where they met and it worked for them on & off. But eventually who you know comes in to nest, and you get shoved out. @ To tell the truth, Louis has been out of work going on 2 years and, and they still have money to live on! He really did a good job of putting high rolling money away! I am proud of that part of him. @ Lincoln told me there are 13 days of school left this year. Sunrise Ridge Intermediate school in Little Valley will say goodbye and Desert Hills Middle school will say hello. I contributed to the science department design of DHMS. Yes! @ Link finished “The Fugitive” #5 Theodore Boone book this week and started #6 The Scandal. If I call him by 2:30 each day then I get a turn to read for 15 minutes. But he doesn’t care what I read. He reads it over again if I get ahead of him, even though he listened to me read and answers my questions as I read. Something in him makes him want to say all the words himself. ha @ It is a bit of a struggle each week to get our reading in. But I am helping. He is making reading progress like crazy. And I get to stay a part of their lives. tyhf. Well I guess that is good enough for now. Nope. One more thing. @@@ I was assigned to share a favorite scripture for our prayer meeting at the FSC yesterday. You may know that I like learning how Satan works. And since there were 6 verses in Helaman where Mormon tells Satan’s techniques and history. . . I chose to share them as my favorite this week. 25 Now behold, it is these secret aoaths and covenants which Alma commanded his son should not go forth unto the world, lest they should be a means of bringing down the people unto destruction.
26 Now behold, those asecret oaths and covenants did not come forth unto Gadianton from the brecords which were delivered unto Helaman; but behold, they were put into the heart of cGadianton by that dsame being who did entice our first parents to partake of the forbidden fruit—
