Good afternoon Tuesday,
The back of my neck on the right side is sore and a bit stiff. I changed water in a 55 and 95 gallon tank yesterday and I must have jerked a few of those 5 g up a few times instead of lifting them carefully. Oops. Plus that is a lot of gallons in one day.
I moved my 2 year old convicts to the garage pond today. I captured all 3 albino oscars to see how they were doing and then mixed up their ponds. I cleaned the 150 g pond filter. There has been no sunshine, just shade today so it was great working with the fish outdoors. I was thinking about moving all the yellows to the 150 under the almond tree but I saw so many baby platies that I decided no to.
No mail today. Just writing CJ and Brandon at Purgatory has changed my whole attitude about the mail box. : )
Rod visited 2+ hours Sunday night and I showed and read him my minibook "Things that Fly" for Crooklyn. He wrote a book called Michael's Bicycle for a senior english project at PVHS and was so so excited about his creation. He loved reading it to Michael's group of classmates at school.
He and Amity came by to borrow my bike so they could go on a bike ride. Of course Amity did not greet me nor come in. She started last Tuesday down in Vegas being trained as a dog trainer. She drove up Sunday night since she had Monday/yesterday off.
I ate three raw almonds just now to see what they taste like and to test my allergies to them again. I made more caves in the 60 gal and added 2 b.plecos to the 3 or 4 or 5 that are already in there. Amity had pleco babies and 1/4 of them are albino and I am jealous. I have 2 babies surviving in a 10 g tank but that is all this summer. I moved adult mollies around from the garage pond.
Listened to a number of conference talks this morning. Returned 8 books, new releases, I am not going to read right now to the library so others can read them. Got a free frozen macaroni dinner from Smith's Friday download last night. Bought 4 lbs of whiting and I am curing some in vinegar right now. The biggest deal last night was putting 10+ plastics in the freezer with the picante wheat/ham casserole in them. Relief it is all finally taken care of. I experimented with using cracked wheat in it but it was yucky. I carefully cut all the fat and skin into thin slices from the Cooks ham I got Friday and they were yucky too. Good thing I have dogs. By the way, no bad effects from the year old eggs as far as the dogs were concerned. (thank heavens again!)
